Our story

Dhātrī means “one who nourishes”

In every Indian home, there is someone who decides what the family eats and quietly reads every label. Dhātrī is made for her, and by her.

It began in a kitchen in Jaipur

It began in Greeshma Kothari's kitchen in Jaipur. She wanted a peanut butter she could give her own family without a second thought.

Organic desi peanuts, a pinch of salt, and for the sweeter jar, real cacao and a little honey. Nothing else.

Still made by hand

Every batch is still roasted, ground and filled by hand in small quantities, so it reaches you fresh.

You may notice a layer of natural oil on top. That's how real peanut butter behaves when nothing has been added to hold it together. Just stir and enjoy.

How it's made

  1. 1. Roast the peanuts slowly

Organic desi peanuts are slow-roasted in small batches for a deep, nutty taste.

  2. 2. Cool and grind them smooth

Once cooled, the peanuts are ground until smooth and spreadable.

  3. 3. Mix in salt, or cacao and honey

A pinch of salt for Salted. Non-alkalised cacao and a dash of honey for Cacao & Honey.

  4. 4. Fill and seal each jar by hand

Every jar is filled and sealed by hand in Jaipur.

Rooted in wisdom, guided by care. That's the promise in every jar.
